- The Health Impact Project, a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Pew Charitable Trusts, encourages state, local, and national level organizations to include health considerations in policy decisions across multiple sectors, such as housing, transportation, and education. Research shows that the conditions in which people live, learn, work, and play influence their health, so the project also works to create cross-sector partnerships that include the expertise of health care and public health systems. https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/projects/health-impact-project
- Where we live shouldn’t determine how long or how well we live. In our communities, we all should be surrounded by conditions that enable us to live the healthiest life possible, such as access to healthy food, quality schools, stable housing, good jobs with fair pay, and safe places to exercise and play. Unfortunately, in many communities, there are persistent barriers to health and opportunity to thrive. Across the nation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is collaborating with a wide array of partners to remove these barriers, and create communities where healthy choices are easy and available to all. https://www.rwjf.org/en/our-focus-areas/focus-areas/healthy-communities.html
